The seaside village of Melkbosstrand (Melkbos to the locals) is located 25 minutes drive from the Airport and the V&A Waterfront, 15 minutes from Canal Walk shopping center and Ratanga Junction theme park.
This is a popular location for kite surfing, windsurfing, Cray fishing, fishing, skin-diving and is ideal for boating with a very safe launch slipway. Wide sandy beaches are ideal for long morning walks, sunbathing and safe swimming.
Melkbosstrand is also an ideal venue to watch spectacular sunsets while having a picnic or braai on the beach. This is an ideal small sea side village for those who want to slow down and relax. It also has several golf courses close by.
