A small mountainside community between Kalk Bay and Fish Hoek, this area history is firmly linked to its famous Clovelly Country Club and Golf Course, which started as a nine-hole course and used by Naval Officers stationed at Simon's Town.

The farm, Kleintuin, was purchased in 1932 and the Country Club was established and has enjoyed continued support from residents and visitors alike. The Course is now an 18-hole.

Silvermine River Wetlands Route is good for bird watching and is home to the endangered Leopard Toad that has a short mating season in August. The beach at Clovelly is used by surfers and body boarders and the Elsies Peak Range is popular for hiking.
